Searching 504 gateway timeout PHPMailer finds https://stackoverflow.com/q/27945676/6660678 and https://stackoverflow.com/q/50281047/6660678 among others.

Maybe your admin timeout is higher than your catalog timeout?

Maybe your host configured something differently for admin than catalog?

Maybe you are doing something differently in catalog than in admin? E.g. are you using the same SMTP credentials in both? Where did you put the override class for email?

Perhaps change the timeout to be longer before calling PHPMailer's send function (which may be called something else).

Perhaps it is possible to turn up the debugging level inside PHPMailer.

If you are using the SMTP server provided by your host, perhaps they could tell you why you are getting a timeout.

Hi Dear
1. timeout set is same for both sides- 600
2. configuration for admin and catalog is the same. No difference in settings also.
3. I put the override class in includes/system/override/email.php
4. I added debug level 4 but as it gives gateway timeout error no debug output is displayed.
5. I contacted namecheap host- But they are not able to figure out why there is a timeout error dear.

Please can you guide what to do next...

you get 600 600 in both catalog and admin?

Yes dear it is the same.
I switched off CDN for testing and it worked dear. CDN was disabled for admin side by me in default. It seems due to change in website IP this issue was occurring.
