Consent Manager - deadline 6.3.2024?
Hello everyone, according to my info, in order to be compliant with googleshopping from 6.3.2024 you have to offer a consent manager (so that you can say regarding cookies etc) is there already a plugin for phoenixcart here? or do I have to reinvent the wheel here? what do all other Phoenixcart operators in europe do?

I was never contacted by anyone to do this, even though I was tagged
Many of my hosted client sites are under review to see what is needed for the latest rule changes.
I may build an addon for this, but I have no ETA.

My current site uses an early version of Phoenix and is running a header tag module that was made years ago (the copyright at the top of the file says 2015) by @burt I believe. It has the silktide script which still works. I have tried it to work with other freely available scripts and it does seem to work. Only trouble is that as its an early version and there are many code differences.loop wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 3:23 pm Hello everyone, according to my info, in order to be compliant with googleshopping from 6.3.2024 you have to offer a consent manager (so that you can say regarding cookies etc) is there already a plugin for phoenixcart here? or do I have to reinvent the wheel here? what do all other Phoenixcart operators in europe do?
It may be possible to contact one of the developers and have something coded for you and an addon.

I don't recall making such a thing, but I may have (I did lose a lot of my code when I lost access to oscshops gmail).14Steve14 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2024 11:20 am My current site uses an early version of Phoenix and is running a header tag module that was made years ago (the copyright at the top of the file says 2015) by @burt I believe. If it was made in 2015 that would be very early CE/BS, which means I most likely made it for 2.3.4 (and just updated for BS.

I think that is what it was.
I have tried as best I can to update the code and have something that works to a degree, but for some reason I am unable to remove the header_tag module using the admin backend. Apart from that it all seems to work. I will take another look when time allows.

Re: Consent Manager - deadline 6.3.2024?
I found that older code in my archive.
I updated it to the new style module.
Core Phoenix doesn't need a cookie compliance module, but as shopowner adds in things that might have cookies it could become needed.
Updated module here
I have no idea if it's still suitable as so many things have changed since 2015 (GDPR, the California version, and more). If it's not suitable it might be a good basis for something else.

I am glad that I was right that it was something that you did. I know it was along time ago, but it still works on my current 1.0.7.11 site.
I was updating it to see if I could, and did get it working. In the end I deleted a few bits and all the <script> code and added in a new one from one of the many online sources and it seems to work.

Re: Consent Manager - deadline 6.3.2024?
Hi all
do you have a Script which can "add ord disable" cookies? but probably phoenixcart won't work if you disable cookies i think.
at the moment i have a headerscript which say " this shop use cookies, accept if you don't accept you can't surf on our page) but most script you have toggles that you can set to accept only important cookies but don't accept advertisemnet like google cookies or something. Did you found a script which you can include for phoenixcart?

There are numerous 3rd Party solutions available that are fully compliant with cookie regulations. One of these can be seen working on a Certified Developer website here - https://cartmart.uk/index.php
