I think this should also delete any linked emails from the Queue.
A task for tomorrow.
Also now done and in the codebase.

How exciting.

I have one more scheduler module made as prototype code, which needs cleaning up, then I'll add that into the download as well. It's the "Remind Me to Buy X product Again in Y month(s)" module. Needs thinking about some more as that one needs to tie in with the Queued System but also tie into the checkout_success modules.

I'm also looking for any more ideas for Scheduler Modules so if anyone has any thoughts for modules to put emails into a Queue, I'm all ears.

The Trustpilot Scheduler Module seems to be working as intended. This one (assuming you use Trustpilot for external reviews) sends absolutely the most minimal details of your customer to Trustpilot - the actual details sent are just the customers name and email address. Trustpilot then schedule their email to your customer asking them to review their purchase etc.

I've made it so it works independently of the usual (internal Phoenix) reviews system, so when updating an order you can choose to schedule for an internal review (ie the usual Phoenix review system) or an external review via Trustpilot. You could in fact schedule email for both an internal review and an external review if you wanted, though I think that would probably be a step too far. Obviously if you don't use Trustpilot, it's all moot as you would not want nor need this Scheduler Module.

--

As of this point, with no further ideas at the moment, the system stands at 15 Scheduler Modules;

Birthday Greetings
Schedules email for X days prior to the customers birthday
No Checkout
Schedules email for X days after account creation IF the customer did not make an Order
Request Review
Schedules email after Order Completion if Shopowner ticks a box
Trust Pilot
Schedules email after Order Completion if Shopowner ticks a box
Request Testimonial
Schedules email for X days after Order
Winback
Schedules email for X days after Order
Review Thanks
Schedules email for X days after Shopowner sets a Review to Live
Update Stock
Schedules email for X day after Shopowner updates Stock on a Product to all Customers who subscribe to Notifications on the Product.
Add Special
Schedules email for immediately after Shopowner adds a Special Offer to all Customers who subscribe to Notifications on the Product.
End Special
Schedules email for X days prior to the Expiry Date of a Special Offer to all Customers who subscribe to Notifications on the Product.
Anniversary
Schedules email for X years after the Customer created an account
Checkout Stock
Schedules email for immediately for each product in an order, where the live stock of the product is fewer than "minimum". Emails are schedules to all subscribers of the product(s)
Cart Reminder
Schedules email for X days after the Customer added product to cart but did not checkout
Order Thanks
Schedules email for X hours after order
Buy Again Reminder
Schedules email for a customer chosen date, per product ordered

How exciting.

Note that for almost all the Scheduler Modules the schedule "delay" is changeable by shopowner from (eg) 5 days to any delay you like such a (eg) 1 month 2 weeks 5 days and 4 hours away.

--

The system is still priced at just £99 and this is for the system foundation + any 5 of the Scheduler Modules. Turbocharge your shop today with this Queued Emails system, you won't regret it.

I noticed a small bug (actually a missing feature, not really a bug) in the "abandoned carts" scheduler module, so I have recoded and fixed it.

I am still looking for any feedback on the system or ideas for Scheduler Modules.

You can test out the LITE version to see how the system builds an outgoing email queue by installing this addon - it'll take you 5 minutes to install, another 2 minutes to test it, then another 2 minutes to maybe give feedback. It's really difficult to get feedback on much of anything we do in Phoenix these days, so any ideas or advice, good or bad is appreciated.
I can only make this system fuller, better and more rounded with the help and advice of shopowners - it might be that you have a process in your working life that no other shopowner uses, and it might be that I can automate that process using this Scheduler system...
Thanks all.

I'm nearing the end of my shop side update and now turning my thoughts to what I need to do to get the admin side sorted out. For starters, I decided to continue my customer focus and set up Burt's Queued Emails add-on. I've used an older version of it in the past which only queued emails that could be generated directly from the shop side of the site and it was some what limited that way. I did however make good use of it and could see the potential so when Burt pulled this off the shelf and updated it, I was all in. Now that emails can be queued from the admin side of the site as well, there is no doubt that it is a real game changer for those who wish to improve their customer communications and generate additional sales. Kudos to Burt for pulling off this much needed update!!

I'll be installing this add-on as soon as I button up a couple of minor issues with my new build but in the meantime I'd welcome your comments on setting things up, what issues, if any, that you've experienced and what reaction you may have received from customers. I know this add-on is fairly new so you might not have a lot of experience with it yet but I'd welcome any comments that you may have. Please share what you think of it -- the good, bad and the ugly.

For those of you who are not using it yet, I wonder why? With Burt's try it before you buy it offer as well as his Queued Emails LITE module there is no reason for anyone not to up their communication and sales game.

@Dan Cole it is a game changer. The best part is the "set it and forget it" using the cron jobs.

Also, you can spruce up the emails by adding images for a more professional look. I only use 6 of the 15 available modules.

As I see it, this is great for after the sale communication with customers. I'm guilty of getting sales and not saying anything else to the customer. Bad move. The shop owner can offer discounts and other specials in each email.

Queued Emails are good for customer retention. It gives that big brand feel. If you have seasonal sales events or other events you can use the Events Email addon by Burt as well.

Building and solidifying a repeat customer base is essential in the slow months. This will help do it.

Whilst I have been sat here reading all the positive comment about this great looking addon I have thought of another idea that I will pass across to Gary @burt,

What about a way to attach a copy of the customers invoice to one of the emails if that is not already included.

PS. I cant wait to get my test site live just to try this addon.

I finally had a chance to get Queued Emails installed yesterday. It is a pretty easy install if you simply follow the instructions and don't over think things as I generally have a tendenacy to do.

Now that I have the add-on in place I'm going to start updating the templates. I intend to take it a step at a time and focus on the templates from the beginning of the order process through to the end. First up will be the "Order Thanks" template and recognising that the order confirmation email is sent out earlier in the process I'll need to ensure that the text of both of those emails work together and doesn't end up confusing our customers. I'm thinking the order confirmation should just end up being a final opportunity for the customer to review their order and the order thanks should both thank the customer for the opportunity to be of service and explain the next steps involved in processing their order. ie gathering up their order, packing and shipping with tracking information etc.

As most of you probably know, I hate reventing the wheel, so if anyone has thought this threw already or has reworked those emails I'd love to hear from you.

More later...

Brought the queud emails during the January add ons month, and it has created us a lot of extra interaction with our customers with positive feedback. I am partial to the not purchased since sign up, we get good feedback of why the customer signed up, and what they were looking for / any issues.

Thank you for the feedback, much appreciated.

As a side note, I am still looking for ideas for Scheduler Modules (the ones that send an email to the Queue)...so if anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.

I have the keys system to send emails to customer asking for reviews and feed back after an order. is there an advantage to switch to the queued emails version, even if it was just to keep all mails within one system?

Same question for the recover carts add on?

Not one that I need, but it is just an idea?
Email the shop owner when stock count goes below xxx - so they can reorder?

Email customers when new product is added / or by time say once a month / quarter?
