Non Phoenix related question more .co.uk or .com

Post by 14Steve14 »

My current website has a .com ending. I also own the .co.uk with the same name which is currently unused.

Now it has come time to update the site should it go to the .com and just replace the old site, or can it go to the .co.uk with a redirect from the .com.

What would be best in people opinions.

IIRC, you sell to other countries besides U.K. so, for that reason alone, it would be best to stick with .com

Thanks for that. It seems that if you keep looking online there are pros and cons to both, and good arguments for what ever choice is made.

As the article details, it is dependent on the location of your target market.

I've both .com and .co.uk directed to the same webstore - have to do that through your server if I remember correctly
Current Store is now running 1.0.9.0 - php 8.2.18
Now working on taking a short rest :D - php 8.2.18

That is what I am currently thinking of doing, unless I can think of anything better to do with the .co.uk
