Here's a sneak peek at an upcoming Phoenix version, which introduces Bootstrap 5.

@heatherbell and I have worked really *really* hard on this over the last few months, a total top down ground up implementation but completely self contained as a template so no core files are overwritten.

The last few Phoenix releases have been making a pathway to this Bootstrap 5 template.

We have also coded a navbar module to allow your customer to flick between light mode and dark mode.

This will probably be the first addon available specifically for Bootstrap 5 Phoenix.

Progress is slow until/unless we get more Community Engagement.

The BS5 template now includes form checking as form fields are being filled. Notice in the image below, the green ticks showing the needed parameters of the input field are satisfied;

If you have time, please feedback any thoughts you have, as the Bootstrap 5 theme is to be our default theme from 1.0.9.7 onwards and we want to make it the best we are able to. If you can, please have a look in small device such as phone or tablet and in desktop to see how the new menu system works.

Had a (very) quick glanse on my phone. Tried the menu and the new shopping cart. Looks really good and smooth and seems well-integrated. Many thanks to all involved for the hard work that is behind this!

I'll try looking some more on both phone and desktop and let you know, if I find something weird.

I have added a NOT CORE addon to this, in the Navbar, to show the light|dark feature of BS5.

If anyone can find 5 minutes to have a play with that Demo and provide
any feedback good or bad it would be very helpful.

It will not be possible to move ahead on the roadmap if there is little interest :-\
