When someone makes a search at your site, and no results are returned, the idea is to ask AI to create a new page at your site using the info_pages system. Then redirect the person to the new page.
EG a shoe shop
Someone searches for (say) "green wellingtons"
No result.
Send the query to chatgpt, place what gets returned from chatgpt into an info_page.
Redirect the shopper to that new info_page.
I'm not sure if I can see a good use, but it might spark an idea in someone.
What's your thoughts?

Might also be some concern about what returns and whether it is relevant or not.

Re: Idea for an Addon: search -> AI -> info_page
I thought about this too Gary and couldn't think of a good user case. If there was way to restrict or allow AI to just pull information from our respective databases that could open up lots of opportunity but otherwise, as an old boss of mind would say....this is "a solution looking for a problem".

Re: Idea for an Addon: search -> AI -> info_page
Burt already created one to generate the pages, from the admin.
app.php/addons/paid_addon/ai_powered_in ... h_tinymce/
i would never trust the customers to generate their own content.
would be better to just limit it to to finding content already on the website

Re: Idea for an Addon: search -> AI -> info_page
Cheers guys. I did think about it some more in relation to this addon;
app.php/addons/paid_addon/search_recorder_extras
This addon gives a new page on which customer searches are recorded. I thought about adding in an extra button "make info page".
For example a shoe shop. Could be any shop but that's an easy example.
"Blue Wellies" <--- customer search
You sell wellies, but no blue wellies.
New button in the usual right hand column in the admin page that shows searches saying "make info page".
Push the button. AI makes an info page about Blue Wellies.
Shopowner goes to new entry in Info Pages and attaches all the wellies available in shop.
Next time someone searches for "Blue Wellies"...they are sent to the info_page rather than to nowhere.
--
All this said, I think Dan is correct. I'm looking for something interesting for AI to do, rather than it being an absolute need.

Re: Idea for an Addon: search -> AI -> info_page
We utilize AI in various ways to enhance our eCommerce processes. Whether these methods could be directly implemented within the CE Phoenix cart is something I’m unsure of, but here’s how we’re leveraging AI:
Keyword Research: AI helps us identify relevant keywords, including long-tail phrases that customers might use when searching for products. While we don't rely on AI to write the product descriptions themselves, we do use its suggestions to shape our content. Similarly, it aids us in optimizing meta titles, descriptions, and category text. We've noticed an improvement in our rankings since using these techniques.
Email and Newsletter Creation: AI has been instrumental in generating email copy, which has shown good results. I haven’t tried using it for email replies yet, but it seems like an option worth exploring—especially since my grammar and writing skills aren’t the best, and AI could offer a more polished output. We've also experimented with AI-generated content for our weekly newsletter, and the results were surprisingly effective.
Social Media Posts: We’ve used AI to create social media content, especially when announcing new products or promotions. It saves time and provides a fresh perspective on how to promote items, often with ideas we wouldn’t have considered.
Cross-Selling: AI has given us some unique suggestions for cross-selling products. Some ideas were quite innovative, things we hadn’t thought of. While it takes a bit of time to fine-tune it for our website and market, the results have been useful.
Competitor and Price Analysis: We’ve dabbled with AI for competitor and price analysis, but haven’t had much success—likely due to our own inexperience in guiding it. This is an area where further refinement or integration could help.
Supplier Suggestions: We tried using AI to find new product suppliers, though the results were too broad to be useful. It seems AI still struggles to focus on more niche or specific business needs in this context.
Help Pages and Internal Links: AI has assisted in creating and updating help pages related to our products, providing additional internal links. This has been helpful in boosting site structure and navigation.
Code Generation: We've even used AI to adapt old osCommerce add-ons for CE Phoenix. While I'm not a coder, we’ve managed to implement some functional pages, mostly in the admin backend, which has streamlined a few processes for us.
Personally, I think the limits of AI stem more from my ability to guide it effectively. There are tasks I believe could be automated further, but I haven't fully explored how to get AI to do exactly what I want. Relying solely on AI can also be risky, as some outputs feel less genuine or appropriate for the business. However, I did run a full AI-generated help page through an AI detection tool, and it surprisingly came back as 100% human-written.

Re: Idea for an Addon: search -> AI -> info_page
I then asked AI how it thought AI could improve CE Phoenix and help it rise above its competition. her eis what it said. How to achieve this i have no idea, but may be AI could help.
AI could play a pivotal role in helping CE Phoenix stand out from its competitors by automating and optimizing various aspects of eCommerce, improving user experiences, and providing advanced tools for store owners. Here are some potential ways AI could elevate CE Phoenix:
1. Enhanced Product Recommendations
AI could enable advanced product recommendation algorithms, helping stores provide personalized product suggestions based on customer behavior, purchase history, and browsing patterns. This could boost cross-selling and up-selling, driving higher conversion rates.
2. AI-Powered Search
An intelligent search system could help users find what they need faster and more efficiently. AI-driven search can go beyond simple keyword matching, offering features like natural language processing (NLP), predictive text, and personalized search results that adapt to customer preferences.
3. Automated SEO Optimization
AI could assist in automating SEO tasks for store owners. It could analyze store data, competitor sites, and customer search behavior to suggest optimized meta tags, descriptions, and content improvements. This would help stores improve search engine rankings with minimal manual effort.
4. Automated Customer Support
AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants could handle common customer inquiries, process orders, and even assist with post-purchase support. By integrating an AI support system, CE Phoenix stores could provide 24/7 assistance, improving customer satisfaction and reducing the need for manual intervention.
5. Smart Inventory and Supply Chain Management
AI can help optimize inventory levels by predicting demand based on historical data, seasonal trends, and market analysis. It can also streamline supply chain management, identifying potential delays, optimizing stock levels, and preventing overstock or understock situations.
6. Dynamic Pricing and Competitor Monitoring
AI can automate competitor analysis and pricing strategies, allowing CE Phoenix stores to dynamically adjust prices based on competitor activity, customer behavior, and demand. This could give stores a competitive edge by staying agile in a fast-paced market.
7. Personalized Marketing Campaigns
AI can help CE Phoenix merchants create personalized email campaigns, newsletters, and advertisements based on customer behavior and preferences. By segmenting audiences and tailoring messages, AI can increase engagement and boost sales with targeted, relevant promotions.
8. Fraud Detection and Security
AI could enhance security by detecting unusual patterns in transactions, spotting potential fraud, and automatically taking preventative actions. This would protect both the store and customers, instilling greater trust in the platform.
9. Content Creation and Optimization
For store owners who struggle with content creation, AI could help generate product descriptions, category texts, and blog posts. By offering SEO-friendly, high-quality content suggestions, AI could help small business owners who don’t have dedicated marketing teams.
10. Competitor and Market Insights
AI tools can help store owners monitor competitors, analyze trends, and gain insights into customer preferences across the industry. This type of business intelligence could be used to refine strategies, identify opportunities, and stay ahead of the competition.
By integrating these AI-driven features, CE Phoenix could become a more powerful and user-friendly platform, offering both automation and personalized experiences that attract merchants looking for a competitive edge.
