All I see for online marketplaces (i.e. Phoenix software) is the ability to post a contact for customers and regulators. The same contact for both. Since we have a footer module for that, I think we're done at the software level. Anyone disagree?

Amazon, Miravia (Alibaba) and probably others included a new product field to flag products save or not.

We looked into these new rules and thought that the hardest, and costliest, part was finding a Responsible Person within the EU or Norther Ireland. There were several companies offering a service but nothing that seemed to be suitable for a small business like ours that sold very low quantities of products into the EU.

Traceability is a great concern also as we buy lots of component parts from several suppliers. Most do supply batch numbers which can be added to the sold products, how many customers would keep that information if we supplied it to them. This would mean that all batch numbers would need to kept in with the orders as well as any safety documentation applicable at the time of the sale. These documents may change over time and be different from different suppliers unless I am misunderstanding the rules.

There is very little information available on the UK's FSB website. No idea why.

In EBay we just removed shipping options for the EU which was the easy option.

Circling back on this.

Manufacturers postal address and email address are added to core.

What else needs doing for next release of Phoenix?

1. Flag: is Manufacturer EU based Yes/No
2. More inputs for "EU Importer" [Name, Address, Email]?

I suppose we need a Content Module showing all this data;

Manufacturers Name & Address & Email (if set & applies to product being looked at shop-side)
Show if this Manufactuer is EU based (ditto)
Importers Name & Address & Email (ditto)

Let's try to get a consensus on this, so work can commence!
This is important to get done ASAP, to the best of the groups knowledge.

Whatever is made can always be amended to better suit GPSR needs as the community learns more.
But we need to get something in place.
