Authorize.net SIM

Post by otgrouch »

I was using the oscommerce Authorize.net SIM module to process cards through my site (I use Clearant and eprocessingnetwork for card transactions). I like it because it doesn't require any card information be input directly on my site and places the PCI onus on eprocessingnetwork.

The old module has not been updated for Phoenix and I do not see a card solution other than PayPal that allows a customer to use cards and not have their information entered on my persona store. Is there one? If not, is anyone willing to tackle updating the authorize.net SIM module to work with Phoenix? It is beyond my coding abilities.

Hello,
Perhaps this paid addon app.php/addons/paid_addon/authorize.net ... card_input could be suitable?
Be careful about version compatibility.
Or ask its author to make you a specific addon since he has already worked on an addon for Authorize.net

PS: oscv4 addons are not Phoenix compatible.
The old addons foe older versions are here : old.oscommerce.com

I've looked at that one and it won't work for me. My merchant processor allows the use of the authorize.net SIM (even though they aren't authorize.net) as a gateway to their site.

I couldn't find the link to the version I am currently using - wasn't sure if the link I posted would be the same or not. I think this is the one I'm currently using. My Phoenixcart store has not gone live yet - this is on a 2.3.4 store.

You might want to contact @BrockleyJohn the author of the AIM version for Phoenix.

From the Authorize.net site...
The Advanced Integration Method (AIM), Server Integration Method (SIM), and Direct Post Method (DPM) are now obsolete and in the process of being phased out. We strongly suggest using one of our modern connection methods to integrate with the Authorize.net Payment Gateway.
I believe John is/was working on a version that will use the Authorize.net Payment Gateway. You might also want to check with your processors ( Clearant and eprocessingnetwork for card transactions) to see if they can or do use the
Authorize.net Payment Gateway.

Looks like I was restricting myself to SIM because that's the only module I had found for oscommerce. eprocessingnetwork also uses AIM, so I'll give the available addon a try.
