Why This Product Performance Tool Matters

Spot Trends Quickly
  • Daily/Weekly Charts: Visually see which days or weeks your product sells best (e.g., "This product always spikes on weekends").
  • Seasonal Patterns: Identify if sales drop in summer or peak during holidays.
Measure Promotions
  • Track Campaign Impact: After running a discount or ad, check if the 24h/30d sales increased.
Example: If sold_1 jumps from 2 to 10 after a Facebook ad, the promotion worked.
Inventory Decisions
  • Restock Smartly: If sold_30 shows 50 units sold, but sold_90 shows 200, demand may be slowing.
  • Clear Stock: Low sold_90? Time to discount or bundle slow-movers.
Compare Products
  • Top vs. Flop: Contrast metrics for similar products.
If Product A has sold_30=100 and Product B has sold_30=5, focus on promoting B or improving it.
Operational Efficiency
  • Staff Scheduling: If sales peak on Fridays, schedule extra staff.
  • Supplier Orders: Use sold_60 to predict how much stock to order next month.
How to Use It

Check the Tab

Open any product in your admin dashboard → click the Performance tab.

Read the Numbers

24h: Emergency alerts (e.g., "Why did sales stop yesterday?").
90d: Long-term health check.

Act on Data

Boost marketing for products with declining sold_60.
Reward best-sellers (high sold_30) with featured placement.

Real-World Example

A coffee shop owner notices:
  1. sold_30 = 120 (vs. 60 last month).
  2. Weekly Chart: Sales spike every Saturday.
Potential Actions:
  1. Add a weekend discount to further boost sales.
  2. Order extra beans every Friday to meet demand.
Key Takeaway

This tool turns raw sales data into actionable insights, helping you;

:!: Sell more by understanding demand.
:!: Waste less by optimizing inventory.
:!: React faster to trends.

Coming Soon

This new Dashboard module also complements it by showing Products based on a shopowner specified "key", eg show me products with >100 in stock that have sold fewer than 10 in the past 30 days.

IE, shopowner can easier identify products that are not doing as expected so shopowner could feature/promote, put on special, delete the product & return to supplier or whatever.

The Key shows at the bottom of the Table as a reminder to the Shopowner what they specified.
