HONDA4parts.nl live on Phoenix

Post by ReneH4 »

Today I have set my new Phoenix-based site live on https://HONDA4parts.nl

Do not hesitate to give any feedback. I am always pleasee to hear some.

The shop was started in 2009 building on RC2.2, after my provider stopped supporting 5.0 (or so) PHP my site had to switch to a better version, which late became Frozen.
That was spring 2018.

I am not sure if I will follow up on the updates which are currently released every two months or so, The shop is now on 1079/7.4.14.

Thanks to all the (payed and free) help I got from Gary and Matt, and others!

Without you guys I would not have been here!

For the coming weeks I will need to tweak a few things, and after that I will play with all the available supporters codes that have been released in the past.

Happy for now!

If you want to include external links in your posts here, you must include the https://
I have edited your post to make your link work.
Your site has similar issues on MD display that I pointed 14steve14 to on the other forum, mainly that the horizontal category menu goes off screen.
You could change the breakpoint at which it changes to hamburger or change its behaviour so categories break to a new line as we have done on our website.

Check your site using Developer Tools for other insights.
If you don't know how to check how your site displays on small devices using Developer Tools this video might help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LR_m3QkzMgM&t=3s

Seen a few small things and what strikes me ..
If you set shop to English at create_account > street address, would also add house number just like in dutch, I made them bold red, so it stands out :-)
nl

privacy.php in English is Dutch :-)

See that you have your faq part as a product, nicer and better to just do that as separate pages, I think.

Thanks Robert, I had not noticed that. As a matter of fact it's only in portrait, not in landscape.
Also, I never even use a tablet, but probably my customers do.... :-)

I have looked into the template file, but cannot find this setting for the Gustavo links.

Can you help Gary?

Yes that's one of the new things that Phoenix offers, I will have to digg into that.
