Error trying to install

Post by DarioMartin »

I am trying to install CE Phoenix on my website, emporium-enchantedforest.com, and I am doing it from within the hosting panel - softaculous apps.

I set all parameters, and at about 11%, it fails saying "Could not access your domain. Please make sure your domain is pointing to this server and there is no .htaccess file restricting access to your domain" ... yet, I am trying to do it whilst logged in to my domain.

I am hosted by Hostica.com and logged in to the domain there

Any pointers to getting it installed?

The softaculous app is something that Hostica offer you, so your best bet is to contact your host for their assistance.
If you could then come back and let us know what they did to help you (fix things) that would be helpful for future users.

I have raised a ticket - here's hoping they can sort it out. I will certainly respond when I have any information

OK. There was a problem with the Softaculous installer, apparently. Hostica installed manually for me, and it's up and running. I believe they have contacted Softaculous to advise them of the problem as well.

So now the Admin directory is /ocadmin and I have logged in ..... and am now trying to figure out how I actualy manage and develop my shop!! But I'm sure that's answered elsewhere

Recommend you Go Pro to get the most out of your new Phoenix.

Also Youtube channel has videos for some things, working on adding more videos as time allows:

If you (or anyone) has ideas for videos, let us know.

Will certainly do that. Currently trying to install Spanish language pack so I can have dual language site. I haven't (yet) found where I can configure colours etc, but I am sure I will.
One question - my shopping site will branch off my main site - I can put a button on to execute the webshop easily enough - but can I configure a "home" or "Return to Emporium main site" button within Phoenix to take someone back to my main site?

There is a breadcrumb module so maybe configure the home to go back to your main site but there are many ways it could be done.
