Selecting an attribute is forcing to select the attribute a second time before adding to the cart

Hi I have created a product with an attribute
The attribute is called Size and the options are 1/10th, 1/8th and 1/6th
The attribute box appears at the top of the product page. When i select the attribute that i want and clicvk add to cart the page automatically scrolls to the bottom of the description box and theres a second attribute box that isn't there on viewing the page but appears after clicking add to cart and the product won't add to the cart until i select the option and then scroll up the page to add to cart. Is there a way to just have the one attribute box without having to select twice before adding to cart.

You might like to share your URL ? This might allow better diagnosis.

Do you have the attributes installed twice - perhaps as both a content module and a PI layout module ?
Do you have other addons that might interfere?

As far as i know i have only set the attribute up once within the attributes menu. As far as i know i don't have any addons except the guest checkout module.
I currently have version 1.0.9.10

You have 2 attribute modules installed. Probably the layout and the content module. Uninstall one.

Raiwa is correct, you do have two attributes modules installed;

pi-options-attributes
and
cm-pi-options-attributes <--- this is the bottom one which looks out of place.

uninstall this one at;
your admin > modules > content > {choose/select the [product info] attributes module} > {remove module}

Hi before i delete the module i can only find one options & attribute module. Do you know where the othe one might located as i can't locate it

Hi before removing I have disabled the module first and then checked the website and everything appears to be working properly thankyou for your help.

You can uninstall it. It will not be deleted.
