Hi,
Just wondering if this is the new normal or have I messed something up? The email comes through normally but the
From and To are our email address.
For a temporary fix I've added
Code: Select all
$enquiry = 'From: ' . $email_address . "\n\n" . $enquiry; to the top of the email which provides us the email address.
Thanks

Yes, you can no longer set the From to be a different domain - the email gets blocked.
The reply-to is set so when you hit reply it goes to them and not to yourself.

That's the odd thing, it reply's to us.
The header says
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
From: OUR EMAIL
Reply-to: CUSTOMERS EMAIL
But it replies to us, could it be our hosting company causing the problem?

Not sure if this is relevant in this situation but there have been some changes with SMTP protocols.
Preferred port numbers have changed slightly and allowance for SSL has also been changed.
The settings below were part of what helped me in the ini file used by my software.
Online security is evolving a lot and older / legacy software isn't always up to the task without some tweaks.
You'll need to check with your hosts about what they need specific to their service and also what Phoenix requires / uses.
SMTPPORT=587
REQUIRES_SSL=YES
SMTPSecureConnection=YES
Good luck.

Thanks, I'll speak to our hosting company and see what they say.

It was a host issue, it is now resolved.

Was it to do with the newer settings requirements ?

Probably, we weren't happy with our hosting company so we moved and it was working correctly straight away.

At least it's resolved.
