Modules do not show in modules list

Post by braadso »

After another problem, I tried to set up a new shop today. Everything worked fine, but suddently I cannot see the modules in the listing. Some do show and the empty lines can be selected and is working.

After consulting the logs i see a lot og lines af these two:

[25-Aug-2021 17:21:14 Europe/Copenhagen] PHP Warning: Use of undefined constant MODULE_CONTENT_GDPR_PERSONAL_DETAILS_TITLE - assumed 'MODULE_CONTENT_GDPR_PERSONAL_DETAILS_TITLE' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/html/import/shop2/includes/modules/content/gdpr/cm_gdpr_personal_details.php on line 25

[25-Aug-2021 17:21:14 Europe/Copenhagen] PHP Warning: Use of undefined constant MODULE_CONTENT_GDPR_PERSONAL_DETAILS_DESCRIPTION - assumed 'MODULE_CONTENT_GDPR_PERSONAL_DETAILS_DESCRIPTION' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/html/import/shop2/includes/modules/content/gdpr/cm_gdpr_personal_details.php on line 26

What is happening and why are the constants "undefined" ?

That seems like a language-file trouble, and the log indicates that it might be my language-pack for Danish?
Is the version of PhoenixCart and the language-pack the same? If not, they should be, if they are, there might be trouble with the language-pack, and it might be my fault.

The constants are there to allow every language to 'define' them differently, populating them with appropriate text for every different language. If a constant is missing from the file it should be in, it will throw the error you got to say that the constant is not defined properly. Some more context about Phoenix-language in the User Guide

If you have a second language installed (like English) switch the admin to that language an check if it works.

Looks like a translation mistake, I had the same issue and when I switched language it all worked.

But the issue should be fixed anyway, otherwise it will cause trouble when customers are looking at the language with missing defines.
So switching language will only confirm whether it is a translation trouble or not, as well as enable immediate continuation of work, but it will not fix the real issue.

Sure. I suggested this only to see IF it is a language issue, and not some other.

The real cause (if it is a language issue) is usually easy to fix.
