Customer registration

Post by jan_hartvig »

Hi
Whene a customer fills in his/hers contact info and press "continue" it generates the text below.

"Notice: mail(): Policy restriction in effect. The fifth parameter is disabled on this system in /customers/e/0/4/bikesupport.se/httpd.www/includes/system/versioned/1.0.8.5/email.php on line 398 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /customers/e/0/4/bikesupport.se/httpd.www/includes/system/versioned/1.0.8.5/email.php:398) in /customers/e/0/4/bikesupport.se/httpd.www/includes/system/versioned/1.0.8.5/href.php on line 168 "

What am I going to do with this?

I don't have a solution but I just did an internet search for the notice you posted which gave results showing other people using different platforms (not Phoenix Cart) getting the same issue because their host server does not allow a fifth parameter.
Presumably your issue is recent so I guess your host server recently changed something.
Interestingly, the internet search results show the issue posted by Swedish users using a hosting provider called One.

Hi
Good result, I contacted one.com and got the answer below
////////////
Shut down PHP error messages on the server so that you get past the Headers Already Sent error message that prevents the page from loading? The message for mail () is a notice that should cause the letters to be sent, but the Headers Already Sent error prevents it from completing.

You can shut down PHP error messages in your Control Panel as follows:
1) Log in to the Control Panel: https://login.one.com/cp
2) Click PHP & Database Settings at the bottom of the page under Advanced Settings
3) Scroll down and set PHP error messages to Off and save. Note that it can take up to 20 minutes before this goes through.
/////////////////
It worked :-)
