From admin go to Catalog → Specials to see this:
Set a special price for products.
- Click New Product
- Choose a product from the Product: pull down menu.
- Enter a Special Price: - refer to the Specials Notes: shown on the page.
- Click in the Expiry Date: input box to use the date picker to enter an expiry date or leave blank for no expiry.
- Click Save
