From admin go to Configuration → Administrators - if you see this:
You must add a second level of password protection to the youradmin folder/directory on the server.
- Click Edit to see this:
- Enter a different Username: and New Password:
Tip:
Ensure you make a note of the Username and New Password - it is advisable to maintain a text document with a record of all usernames, passwords and a log of all actions and changes made to your website.
- Tick the Protect With htaccess/htpasswd box.
- Click Save to see this:
Your password can also be changed.
- Click Edit
- Enter a New Password:
- Click Save
Additional administrators can also be added.
- Click Insert
- Enter a different Username: and New Password:
- Click Save
