From admin go to Configuration → E-Mail Options to see this:
The default settings can be left as they are here unless you know better!
To change any setting:
- Click the item in the Title column list to select it.
- Click it again to edit.
- Change the settings in the edit panel.
- Click Save
- E-Mail Transport Method
- If you host server is running on Windows or MacOS, change this setting to SMTP.
- Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails
- Setting this to True enables HTML formatting in emails.
- Send E-Mails
- Enables or Disables the entire email system.
