Adding a Favicon helps your online shop look professional and creates brand awareness.

From a customer's point of view it makes the browser tab with your shop stand out against any others open and also makes your shop more visible in the customer’s list of bookmarked sites.

  • Create an image e.g. from your logo - a square image of about 300 x 300 pixels.
  • Internet search for a free favicon generator that will convert the image - we have used https://realfavicongenerator.net/ and https://www.icoconverter.com/ which both work well.
  • Upload the icons to the root (i.e. the folder/directory that contains all the shop files) of your shop on the host server - done.

Any code needs to be in <head> section of /templates/default/includes/components/template_top.php
