From admin go to Adminnavbarcatalog.png Catalog → Specials to see this:

This lists all products that have a special price.



Display Specials

Specials can be shown in the store in different ways.

  • They will show wherever the product is shown with their special price indicated in red.
  • They will also show all together on their own specials.php page.
  • A link to this page can be shown by installing optional modules as you require.
    • Install the Specials box module - this will display a link together with one random product from those with a special price in either of the side columns.
      • Go to Modules → Boxes
      • Click Install Module
      • Look for Specials in the list
      • Click Install Module
      • Click Edit
      • Choose a Content Placement to show in the left or right column.
      • Enter a Sort Order value to set where it will display in relation to other box modules in the column. Do not leave 0 as the Sort Order on modules as it can cause problems.
      • Click Save
    • Install the Special Offers navbar module - this will display an icon and text link in the navigation bar.
      • Go to Modules → Navbar
      • Click Install Module
      • Look for Special Offers in the list'
      • Click Install Module
      • Click Edit
      • Choose a Content Placement Group to show in the left, right or home (far left) section of the navigation bar.
      • Enter a Sort Order value to set where it will display in relation to other modules in the navigation bar.
      • Click Save



New Specials

  • Click Add a new Special Offer to see this:

Delete Specials

  • Click Delete
  • Click Delete again to confirm.



Enable/Disable Specials

This can be a time saver to just turn the special prices on and off.

  • Click the Status buttons - click the tick to enable (it will turn green) - click the cross to disable (it will turn red).
