Important: Make a frequent and regular backup of both your website and database.
Back up the Website.
Create and save a folder/directory on your computer - name it "yoursite todays date".
Select all files on the server and transfer to "yoursite todays date" folder/directory.
This is simply just the reverse of what you did to install Phoenix.
NOTE: Create a new "yoursite todays date" folder/directory every backup time to keep regular snapshots of the website - the website can then be restored to any snapshot.
Back up the Database.
From the admin dashboard go to Tools => Database Backup to open the Database Backup Manager page.
Click Backup - No Compression (Pure SQL) is already selected - this can be left as is - Download only (do not store server side) checkbox is unticked - this can be left as is to download and save on your computer or the box can be ticked to save on the server.
Click Backup - the database SQL file will then show on the page when complete - it will be saved in the file path shown on the page if it is saved on the server.
If the database has been stored on the server, it can be restored by going to the the Database Backup Manager page, click the file and then click Restore.
If the database has been downloaded and saved on your computer, it must be restored by accessing your database on your host server account and importing the file.
