From admin go to 
Configuration → Administrators - if you see this:
You must add a second level of password protection to the youradmin folder/directory on the server.
- Click Edit to see this:
- Enter Username: and New Password:
- Tick the Protect With htaccess/htpasswd box.
- Click Save to see this:
Your password can also be changed.
- Click Edit
- Enter a New Password:
- Click Save
Additional administrators can also be added if required.
- Click New Admin User
- Enter Username: and New Password:
- Click Save
