From admin go to Configuration → Download to see this:
This enables the shop to sell downloadable digital products.
- Click Enable download in the list to select it.
- Click it again to edit.
- Change the setting to true
- Click Save
- Click Download by redirect in the list to select it.
- Click it again to edit.
- Change the setting to true
- Click Save
- Click Expiry delay (days) in the list to select it.
- Click it again to edit.
- Change the setting as required.
- Click Save
- Click Maximum number of downloads in the list to select it.
- Click it again to edit.
- Change the setting as required
- Click Save
