In v1.0.9.6 we introduced Queued Emails into core. A few shopowners already have the system and have seen really good results in getting customers more engaged and coming back to give reviews and buy more products etc. I have ported the foundation files found in v1.0.9.6 back to earlier versions, so that more shopowners can try the system.

Installation is very easy; takes 2 minutes. There are no core code changes in this Addon.

Please give the system a go. Even if you never use the system to actually send out emails, it is VERY interesting to see an email queue building up.

This addon is suitable for versions 1.0.8.5 up to and including v1.0.9.5.

Please note that from version 1.1.0.5 onwards, Queued Emails now works in all languages rather than the just the default language. This backported addon is still "default language" only!

This hook will allow you to easily create shortcode projects for easy use in info_pages.

For example, you can create a shortcode of:
[mycoolcode title="My Cool Project" products_id="123" button_class="btn-danger" text="This is an example"]

And then add a file:
includes/hooks/shop/siteWide/shortcodes/mycoolcode.php

An array of $shortcode['params'] will be passed to the mycoolcode.php file and you can code accordingly to replace the original:

[mycoolcode title="My Cool Project" products_id="123" button_class="btn-danger" text="This is an example"]

with whatever the params and your imagination can think of.

I am planning on building some cool modules that use this for integration, I thought I would share and see what others come up with.
