Notification of Order

Just wondering if you are suppose to get a notification (or email) one an order is placed?

I wasn't getting any notifications on 1.0.8.0 so I installed 1.0.8.4 on a test instance and getting the same thing. No notification on order.

I was able to use the contact us page and got an email.

Change the order to pending then see if you get that notification.
I've had the same issue since day one. There's some data on the initial email that has security issues that some hosts won't send.
There was a thread on the old forum but it's probably gone now.

Thanks for the info, I found the old thread and you have to add your email address to:

Send Extra Order Emails To Under My Store

Change the order to pending then see if you get that notification.

This has always been annoying, emails should always automatically be sent to the store owner I would think. That behavior is intimated somewhere in the setup, isn't it?

I believe it depends on the shop and the amount of orders per day. If you get let's say 300 orders per day in, you may not want to delete 300 mails per day and you'll have anyway someone observing admin for incoming orders the whole working hours.
