From admin go to Tools → Database Backup
- Click Backup to see this:
- No Compression (Pure SQL) is already selected - this can be left as is.
- Download only (do not store server side) checkbox is unticked - tick this box to save on the server - leave unticked to save to the downloads folder on your computer - it is advisable to do both.
- Click Backup - the database SQL file will then show on the page when complete if it is saved on the server - it will be saved in the file path shown on the page.
If the database has been stored on the server, it can be restored from admin by going to Tools → Database Backup, click the file and then click Restore'.
If the database has been downloaded and saved on your computer, it must be restored by accessing your database on your host server account and importing the file - see phpMyAdmin
