Set Up Store

From admin go to Configuration → Stock - you will see this:

Check stock level

Set to true shows warning messages on the Shopping Cart page like this:

Set to false shows no warning messages like this:

Subtract stock

Set to true, this will subtract quantity purchased from the product stock.

Allow Checkout

Set to true will allow customer to checkout even if there is insufficient stock.

Set to false will prevent checkout if stock quantity is less than quantity in shopping cart.

Check stock level MUST be set to true.

It will then show a warning message on the Shopping Cart page like this:

Mark product out of stock

This is the icon displayed next to a product in shopping cart when stock quantity is less than quantity in shopping cart.

Stock Re-order level

This provides a value for some add-ons to work.

Edit

To change any setting:

• Click the item in the Title column list to select it.
• Click it again or click Edit to edit.
• Change the settings in the edit panel.
• Click Save
