BEFORE DOWNLOAD
- Create a new folder/directory on your computer to store all documents associated with your website.
- Name it, save it and save a backup.
- Create a new text document to record all information associated with your website e.g. details needed for logins, usernames, passwords and a log of all actions and changes made.
- Name it and save it in the website documents folder/directory just created.
- Register your Domain Name (the name of your website).
- Open a Host Server account (this is the company that has the computer where you website will be stored).
- Record all the host server details that they provide in the text document just created.
- Contact your Host Server company to assign a SSL certificate to your Domain. The SSL certificate shows that padlock seen in the browser address bar and encrypts all information that your customers might enter on your website.
- Create a Database on your Host Server account.
- Record the database name, username and password to the text document just created.
To download the latest version of Phoenix to your computer Downloads folder just click the button below. This will download the latest version of Phoenix from GitHub where it is kept updated for public download.
AFTER DOWNLOAD
- Copy Phoenix zipped folder/directory from the Download folder on your computer to website documents folder/directory
- Unzip Phoenix zipped folder/directory to website documents folder/directory
- Open and read README file carefully
