BEFORE DOWNLOAD
- Create a new folder/directory on your local computer to store all documents associated with your website.
- Name it, save it and save a backup.
- Create a new text document to record all information associated with your website e.g. a log of all actions and changes made.
- Name it and save it in the website documents folder/directory just created.
- Keep a record of all details needed for logins, usernames, passwords.
- Register your domain name (the name of your website).
- Open a host server account for your domain and website (this is the company that has the computer where you website will be stored).
- See Open Host Account
- Keep a record of all the host server details that they provide.
- Contact your host server company to assign a SSL certificate to your domain. The SSL certificate shows that padlock seen in the browser address bar and encrypts all information that your customers might enter on your website.
- Create a database on your host server account.
- Keep a record the database name, username and password.
DOWNLOAD
To download the latest version of CE Phoenix to your computer Downloads folder just click the button below. This will download the latest version of CE Phoenix from GitHub where it is kept updated for public download.
AFTER DOWNLOAD
- Copy CE Phoenix zipped folder/directory from the Download folder on your computer to website documents folder/directory
- Unzip CE Phoenix zipped folder/directory (right click → Extract all...) to website documents folder/directory
- Open and read README file carefully
- Other Language Packs are available to download - currently Spanish, German, Dutch and Russian - the links to find them are shown in the README file - download now if required.
