BEFORE DOWNLOAD

  • Created a new folder/directory on your computer to store all documents associated with your website.
    • Name it, save it and save a backup.
  • Created a new text document to record all information associated with your website e.g. details needed for logins, usernames, passwords and a log of all actions and changes made.
    • Name it and save it in the website documents folder/directory just created.
  • Registered your Domain Name (the name of your website).
  • Opened a Host Server account (this is the company that has the computer where you website will be stored).
    • Record all the host server details that they provide in the text document just created.
  • Contacted your Host Server company to assign a SSL certificate to your Domain. The SSL certificate shows that padlock seen in the browser address bar and encrypts all information that your customers might enter on your website.
  • Created a Database on your Host Server account.
    • Record the database name, username and password to the text document just created.

AFTER DOWNLOAD

  1. Copy Phoenix zipped folder/directory from the Download folder on your computer to website documents folder/directory
  2. Unzip Phoenix zipped folder/directory to website documents folder/directory
  3. Open and read README file carefully
  4. Other Language Packs are available to download - currently Spanish, German, Dutch and Russian - the links to find them on GitHub are shown in the README file - download now if required.
